Jono Da Mafia Don

Jono Da Mafia Don is "Houston bred, Houston fed." He was raised in South Park, Third Ward, and Hiram Clarke just before the turn of the century, when the world dripped candy was all screwed up. It's no surprise that his early influences were mostly local--southside Houston legends: S.U.C., Geto Boys, and Scarface--and regional--Nola's Cash Money. But, as his name suggests, he was also impressed by Tupac's The Don Killuminati: 7 Day Theory. So basically, he's been flowing and filling notebooks since we first popped in the grey cassette and turned up the fuckin' deck. In 2005, he became founder of Block Gang Mafia, whose original artist roster included Snipe, Poppa P, Fro Yo, Noid and Hood. He has since dropped nothing but bangas all over the southside. His style on tracks like "Came Too Far" is classic, raw, third coast sound with Makavelian swag. In 2016, he entered Coast 2 Coast LIVE Artist Showcase and won over audiences with his hit, "I'm Just Doin' Me" which made top 100 Coast 2 Coast charts. His song, "Houston" (featuring Lah Tony) was also featured on the Coast 2 Coast Texas Vol. 13 Mixtape 2017. Later that year, he decided, "fuck these mixtapes, this the brand," and he officially joined with S.D.Y.P. The Movement as an artist, Junior A&R Head of Street Team Promotions and CEO of Block Gang Mafia Music Group. His latest drop with SDYP is "Ain't Ask for This." He is also featured on SDYP The Movement's "Blow The Whistle" with X Da Hustla. There is so much more in store as Jono Da Mafia Don continues his hustle and grind to acheive his goals. "I done came too far...I ain't tryna stop now." - Jono Da Mafia Don
